Those with high self-esteem possess Personal Power and display competence in all six key areas of life: health and appearance, relationships, school/occupation, financial status/ability, personal/spiritual development, and fun/play/pursuing passions.
Those lacking Personal Power and a substantial level of self-esteem act indecisively and are often at the control of circumstances. They tend to procrastinate and have trouble establishing priorities that support their goals. On the other hand, those possessing high self-esteem create the circumstances they need to accomplish their objectives.
They act now, rather than later, because they know that the present moment is the only time they have to bring about an intended result. They know that actions need not be perfect because they will be continually gathering feedback, measuring and adjusting to ensure they correct their course and eventually hit their mark.
The key to remember is to TAKE THE ACTION – success is never realized to those who wait!
Those who wait until all questions are resolved and the timing is perfect, will put off action and may never move forward in the direction of their goals at all, being paralyzed by indecision, doubt and fear. Those possessing high self-esteem trust that they will be guided as they take action to put into place whatever is needed so that they can accomplish their intended goals. They see their success as inevitable, and possess the belief in their ability to break through any temporary challenges en route to their ultimate goal. Because of this, they possess the self-motivation essential to take the necessary action, solve problems, and do whatever it takes to bring about their desired result.
Here are some key questions to ask yourself, that may assist in making breakthroughs:
- What’s my intention?
- What’s working well concerning this situation?
- What’s missing that if applied would make a difference in reaching my desired results?
- Who has already done what I seek to do?
- Who can I utilize to mentor or coach me?
- What consistent actions will likely produce the results I want to achieve?
- What action can I take right now, to make some progress?
- What is my biggest challenge in this situation?
- What is keeping me “stuck in the muck”?
- With whom can I brainstorm possibilities?
- And the BIGGEST question…Do I expect to be successful?
By continually keeping an open mind, you can expect constant and unending improvement throughout your life. By combining focused, decisive action with the expectation that the process of discovery never actually ends, you will be empowered in the knowing that life can truly be an exciting learning quest that never grows old.
